Except, there are no books, pencils, and crayons in sight - not even slate and chalk! Now, imagine what it’s like to be a teacher, standing in front of a class without the most basic educational resources. Unfortunately, this is the reality for millions of children studying in rural India. Their potential is enormous, but their education remains incomplete. They go through the education system without acquiring essential reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. As these children grow into adults and step into the world, you can easily imagine the opportunities they miss out on, all because they lacked the necessary resources during their formative years.

Our Approach

Rural India is a reservoir of untapped potential, and every child in those far-reaching corners deserves the chance to dream, learn, and thrive. To truly grasp their circumstances, our team at Giving for Good engaged in heartfelt conversations with hundreds of dedicated school staff members across the nation. ﻿We discovered that their needs align perfectly with our mission – to empower every child with essential school supplies. These supplies include a school bag equipped with educational tools such as books, pencils, crayons, craft materials, math essentials and a water bottle. The best part? We're committed to making these resources eco-friendly and sustainably sourced, ensuring a brighter future for both the children and our planet.﻿

This year, our goal is to bring smiles to 1000 children attending rural schools in Maharashtra.
